:: art sale!

Dear friends,
I am moving in just a few weeks to a smaller place.  There is a box of mostly large scale, rolled-up artwork in my basement that I would love to find happy homes for.  Being that I mostly just want to give my artwork a second life where it can be hung and enjoyed, the majority of the work I'll be selling for dirt cheap.  Prices are based on my personal attachment to the work (or make me an offer).

Only thing I ask is this: if you buy a piece and tire of it, that is fine, but don't throw it out.  Give it back, pass it on, or ask me before you get rid of it.  (there is always that off chance that I would need to borrow it to re-photograph or show it someday)

Note that at this point I have not framed or matted any of the work.

facebook or email me if interested: marqu219@umn.edu

1. The second piece I did in ArtS 3101...as is probably evident.  Still life.  Playing with scale.
$5

2. Crazy man.  Experimenting with geometry of the body.
$5

3. Faceless man.  Exercise in "name a sensation to draw."  Weight, emptiness.
$5

4. Collage of still life.
$5

5. Architecture.  A different course in architecture had killed my confidence in my ability to draw spaces accurately.  The was the beginning of rebuilding that confidence.
$5

6. Baptism.  This is a drawing from memory of Hope Community Church, and my experience of being baptized.  First attempt at color in a long time.  Lively and chaotic, expressive piece.
$5

7. Trio.
Experimental still life drawing.
$10

8. Fabric.  Does *not* come with the hanging metal frame (not that you'd really want that anyways).
Fabric is a creamy white with a single hemp line stitched into it.
$5

9. Collaborative piece #1
$10

10. Collaborative piece #2
$10

11. Collaborative piece #3
$10

The following are more "portfolio quality" and it would take a steeper price for me to part with them.

A. Light and Space
$40

B. Nothing More
"But then his father would close the matter with a big, loud, 'No,' and no more would be said."
(I really like this one and will probably just keep it, but would part with it for)  $50

C. Figure Study
$20

D. Fear and Desire of Being Known
Final piece in ArtS 3101
(I don't know how to price this one.  Make an offer if you're interested.)

E. Family Portrait
A collaborative piece.  Capturing the true essence of this imaginary family.
$20

F. Collage of Ten Still Life Drawings
This was my second true success of the semester.  I learned that working and reworking is an important process for me.
$40
